The Neurosciences Department at Sharif Medical City Hospital is dedicated to providing advance care for disorders affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system. Our department brings together a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, neurologist and psychiatrist. Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to perform a wide range of procedures and medical management ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Neurosurgery

The Neurosurgery department specializes in both cranial and spinal surgeries, including but not limited to:

Cranial Surgeries: Treatment of brain tumors, trauma-related injuries, aneurysm clipping, and other complex brain conditions requiring surgical intervention.
Spinal Surgeries: Management of spinal cord injuries, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and other degenerative spine disorders.
Acute Neurosurgical Interventions: Emergency procedures for traumatic brain injuries, stroke management, and other life-threatening neurological conditions.

Neurology

The department of neurology is committed to excellence in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders affecting brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. our team of highly skilled neurologist and supporting staff work together to provide comprehensive care for patients with wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, headache, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders and dementia.

Department serves inpatient, outpatient and ICU patients related to Neurology. Stroke center where hyperacute stroke treatment is available. Electroencephalography /EEG test in also on board for diagnostic excellence. Procedures like lumbar puncture, Botox and steroids/ local injections are routinely administered in our department
